Full-Time Adult Day Service -Direct Support Professional

Are you a compassionate, reliable person who wants to make a real impact?
The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our mission driven team. You’ll help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live full, empowered, and independent lives.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
Locations: Lucas County
Available Schedules: 1st Shift Monday - Friday

Responsibilities include assisting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live their best lives:

  • Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
  • Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
  • Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
  • Support individuals to build independent living skills
  • Transport individuals safely to and from day programs and social outings
  • Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
  • Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
  • Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
  • Participate in required paid training and team meetings

Qualifications you need to thrive in this role if you are:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
  • Proof of auto insurance
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
