The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is seeking caring, reliable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). You'll empower people with developmental and intellectual disabilities to achieve their goals, gain independence, and thrive at home and in the community.
Earn Up to $18.50/hr!
Base Pay: $17.00/hr + $1.50/hr Incentive
Get Paid to Sleep: $13.00/hr (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM)
Location: Bowling Green, OH
Schedules Available: Full-Time & Part-Time (Every Other Weekend Required)
1st & 2nd Shift (Awake): $18.50/hr
3rd Shift (Sleep): $13.00/hr
Responsibilities include assisting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live their best lives:
- Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
- Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
- Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
- Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
- Transport individuals safely to appointments and social outings
- Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
- Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
- Administering medications as trained
- Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
Participate in required paid training and team meetings
Qualifications you need to thrive in this role if you are:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
- Proof of auto insurance
Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
