The Epilepsy Center of Northwest Ohio is hiring Adult Day Array - Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our mission driven team. You’ll help individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live full, empowered, and independent lives.
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Locations: Lucas County
Available Schedules: 8 AM - 4 PM - 4 days a week and every other weekend 4 PM - 12 AM
Responsibilities include assisting individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities live their best lives:
- Provide respectful, person-centered support in daily living tasks
- Drive a transportation route
- Assist with personal care: ambulation, bathing, grooming, toileting, etc.
- Engage individuals in social, recreational, and community activities
- Support individuals to build independent living skills
- Prepare meals, cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
- Transport individuals safely to and from day programs and social outings
- Encourage personal growth and achievement of goals
- Accurately document activities, incidents, and client progress
- Communicate professionally with team members, families, and clients
- Participate in required paid training and team meetings
Qualifications you need to thrive in this role:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years or older
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (fewer than 6 points)
- Proof of auto insurance
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI background checks and required screenings
